12.30.2009 - Romans 7:7-25

Some say that we struggle because of the law. because there are laws we struggle. because someone said that we can't steal, stealing is wrong. These passages really talk about how to get yourself and understand the law. law is there because God made it. it makes it spiritual and right. We are human and we sin because we are tempted to it. law is there and we fail to follow it because we're not perfect. as much as law is making sin wrong, it is us that makes us sinner.
we need to wake up and really just live our lives as Christians. as much as we sin we need to become righteous through God. God made these laws and these commandment to let us know what's right. and we shouldn't blame God for them.

11.23.2009 - Romans 7:1-6

1Do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to men who know the law—that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives? 2For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. 3So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man.
4So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God. 5For when we were controlled by the sinful nature,[a] the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death. 6But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

I'm definitely kind of confused about these verses but i understand it a little bit. Marriage is a promise we make similar to the type of relationship we should have with God. there is love and it's not suppose to end until one of the person dies, and some people really does live even after they die.
In relationship with God, Jesus has died and defeated the purpose of death, so in a point we gotta serve God once we made that commitment we need to love God. Jesus dieing and raising from death means so much to us. the law that once relates to us as a cheating person who would be called adulter, Jesus sets us free from the law that would make us such adulter. he makes us complete and we are such a incomplete not worth anything cheaters, but God makes us complete. we are controlled by sinful nature, but because of the love of God we are worth worshiping him once again.
Love God... because without himi we are nothing....

11.22.2009 - Romans 6:15-23

15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord.

Slavery is a dark dark word, but also at the same time first few verses are really true and how we are slavery of sin right now. we are just called to sin currently and we just want to because it feels good to sin, but we need to start being slave for God. as bad as it sounds being a slave for God makes a lot of sense. when your master is nice and does good things for you when you succeed it's complete different story of being a slave for someone. We need to be a slave for Christ and really live our life among it.
Loving Christ is such a wonderful thing he saves us from sin, and because it's to benefit us because to sin we will die and God saves us from eternal death. we need to love and be a good servant to God.

11.21.2009 - Romans 6:1-14

1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. 6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Jesus died and rose again so that he can't die again. he has defeated death and he gave us new life. because we believe in Jesus, through Jesus we have defeated death and that makes us a new born. that makes us people with goals in life to glorify God and to love God. We have to not sin and try to live our life for glorify God. he is in our life to make our life better. and even when things go wrong, we have to stop blame God and live like we really do believe in God. we need to use our body or little talents we have to glorify God.
So if we have a special talent we just gotta use it... for God

11.20.2009 - Romans 5:12-20

12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.

15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

20The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

These passages do touch on very important subject. Sin came into the world through one person and that was adam. as he bit into the apple and knowledge and evil came into the world, God knew that he would have to sacrifice one man (his son) for all the sins. Jesus came and died for our sins and he was crucified as we were forgiven. as the song say, he was forsaken while we were forgiven.

So many people were made a sinner through one person so through Christ (one man) we are going to be saved. Jesus gives us a firm promise of being here always. he is one thing that will never fail you. so i believe and i love God

11.19.2009 - Romans 5:1-11

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we[c] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Peace and Joy
I think one of the biggest thing that separate christians from non christians is that we enjoy serving God. There are times when christians question what they are doing when they are serving God and that's when we should get a reality check. These verses talk about building character, becoming a stronger christians, it's very important as we grow in Christ that we do these thing not to glorify us but glorify God. We need to enjoy suffering and love God for letting us grow and letting us really face what's real. He makes us go through these things because that makes us stronger, that makes us a stronger person.
let's enjoy suffering and let suffering build perseverance and character. Let's do the work of God in the right way and do it right. God died for us because he loves us and we are just useless ungoddly thing and Jesus died for us... to me that say a lot...

11.17.2009 - Romans 4:1-20

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Perserverance...

when i was reading these verses i remembered Family Guy's Peter's version of Passion of Christ, because in it Peter doesn't understand why Jesus was taking all the beating that he did with the whip. and in his version peter gets up and say "no!" to the roman solider who was whipping him.
What happen if Jesus was like "no i don't want to save the the human race" and just stop from the suffering...? no one would be saved.
So for we are saved in faith alone, we need to rejoice in our suffering. and suffering builds perseverance and perseverance is one of the most important quality of being in the Christian faith. there are so many times when we just want to give up and we just want to stop but we need to keep on going at it. and really go through with what God's telling us. serving the lord is a hard job but we gotta do it and we gotta love it.
we are saved through God's son's life... that means a lot to me...

11.16.2009 - Psalm 19

May the words of my mouth
And the meditations of my heart
Be pleasing to you, pleasing to You
May the words of my mouth
And the meditations of my heart
Be pleasing to You my God

You’re my Rock and my Redeemer
You’re the reason that I sing
I desire to be a blessing
In Your eyes
Every hour, every moment
Lord I want to be Your servant
I desire to be a blessing
In Your eyes, in Your eyes

may the words of my mouth is a common name for this song... i'm gonna take a break of romans and do a song today. May the words of my mouth is a great song that i connect with a lot. I need to learn to speak and talk like God is around. we need to please God. We need to realize that that God is more then just a thing we worship. we do so many things for God and we need to just serve God and be there for God.

11.14.2009 - Romans 4:1-20

These verses talk about Abraham. Abraham was a big character in old testaments, because he was one of founder of jewish nation. he was very important and even himself say that he is saved by faith not by his works. Abraham has done so much and he is such a big character in old testament and same with David, which is quoted in the verses that we are saved by faith and these people do works because of their faith and how they love God.
This reminded me of when i started to serve. I know there must be some part of me that said i want to serve God for the works and just the works, but more and more i thought that way it wasn't fair or something wasn't right. I wanted to quit so many times because i thought what's going on in my life is so much more important and that serving God can be second, but there was one day when Paul talked to me and he told me that we serve God because God choose us and something in that nature and it hit me, I wanted to serve God. God loves us and he gives us all we can do.
I don't serve God because I want to show God what i can do, but i serve God because i love God, and it makes more sense to me. I never say why am i doing this anymore... it's more understood... it makes more sense to me now. now i know why i serve God and even sometimes i still say it's unfair, but at the end... i'm wrong... God asks me to do things because he knows that i have a passion to serve God. I love God and i want to give my life for Him.

11.13.2009 - Romans 3:21-31

These verses are something that Christians love. About Jesus and how he gave up his life for us. that's something more than just bible verses. we did nothing and we are not saved because of what we do but God saves us for only through our faith, because God loves us. Something important is that we are saved by faith and not by what we do at all... it's such a concept that it's hard for us to understand... sometimes makes you wonder why we do the work, but we always realize what an amazing God we have and through faith and through love of God we should do things for God willingly...

and God does not look at us as jew or gentile. I think something very important is that jews vs. gentiles are one of the biggest discrimination in old testament but it says in it that God loves all of us not just gentiles and no just gentiles. there is one God and he loves us all. races doesn't matter and he doesn't love you more because you own something more then other. God loves us just because we are his creation. so let's love God

11.12.2009 - Romans 3:9-20

9What shall we conclude then? Are we any better
[a]? Not at all! We have already made the charge
that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.
10As it is written: "There is no one righteous, n
ot even one; 11there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God. 12All have turned away,
they have together become worthless; there is
no one who does good, not even one."[b] 13"Their
throats are open graves; their tongues practice d
eceit."[c] "The poison of vipers is on their lips."[d]
14"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
[e] 15"Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16ruin and
misery mark their ways, 17and the way of peace
they do not know."[f] 18"There is no fear of God
before their eyes."[g]19Now we know that whatever
the law says, it says to those who are under the law,
so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole
world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one
will be declared righteous in his sight by observing
the law; rather, through the law we become
conscious of sin.

we are all sinners, that's all this is trying to say. some of these passages before talked about gentiles and jews as separate kind of people, but the whole story is that everyone is sinful and we all need God. this is a passage that talks about how we are not saved because of what we've done. we are all sinful people and in this passage it quotes psalm many times talking about how not righteous we are. we all are.
In real life sometimes Christians like to act like we are better then others and that we did all this to make our lives better, but we haven't done anything... we are saved because of God. we are sinful creatures worshiping our awesome God. We need to always think of others and talk to them about God and reach out to others.

11.11.2009 - Roman 3:1-8

1What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? 2Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.
3What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? 4Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written:
"So that you may be proved right when you speak
and prevail when you judge."
5But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) 6Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?" 8Why not say—as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say—"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved.

These passages talk continues on the passages before... does being Jew have any advantages... i think these reminds me of very many talk about how unfaithful Jews were, but God never let go of them. even when they fell away from God they were still saved by God. I know there are many verses talking about them how they are foolish, but there was never a moment where God gave up with them.
last few verses (5-8) talks about if us by sinning is making God more righteous, that makes no sense. this is slander... it makes no sense to do things that God tells us not to do and make it think that they are doing right because of that. These verses were really confusing but i understand that sometimes human nature is to bargain and say that if our sinning is making God more righteous then we shouldn't be punished is like saying... cheating and getting caught makes people who know everything more righteous so cheating is good. It makes no sense...
so let's just do our job and be a good christian and just do the right thing... n not bargain with God...

11.10.2009 - Roman 2:17-29

These verses talk about Jews. There are people who believe they are christians because they were born into a christian family. There is nothing physical that can be done to you that will make you christian. Christians are people who know their place. who know that God is the only one and that we don't do things our way. verses 21-24 talks about if you know God's law tell other about it and stuff while we don't know because as we condemn others we still break the rules. doesn't it make it worse as we're breaking the rules while we are the one that supposingly fix something.
These verses talk about simply this. follow God's law because just because your a jew doesn't save you. a real jew is someone who follow God's law. Gentile who follow the law can condemn a jew who doesn't follow the God's law.

11.9.2009 - Roman 2:1-16

These are very critical verses. we always learn the verses before these and judge others, but here it says to not to judge others for you will be sinning... I think we are all guilty of this and Christians are very famous for looking down on other and saying things like that. tonight in my jewelry class someone was talking about a best friend she had that started believing in God and her friend told her that because they are not in the same place in Christ so they can't hang around each other anymore...
That's not the way your suppose to treat your friend... even if they are not as spiritual as you... you are one of only input that... that person can have...
let's not judge others because as much as you feel better then other we're all really just same people sinning.
i think the most scary part of this reading was the last verse where it talks about how no one might know your secret life but God does...

11.8.2009 - Romans 1:18-32

these verses were about people sinning. some of the points were
everyone knows about God. everyone knows the rules and how amazing he is. when people talk about God they always talk about how God creating the world is not true, so they know the truth they just don't live by it. These verses talk about just sinners and how we suffer.
v. 26-27 ish talks about Homosexual ism and how it's not righteous and it's true that God made us this way to for male to love female and female to love male, but yet people go out and do things other wise. something that scared me the most was the last verse talked about how sinners are going around and sharing what they believe in...
This makes me sick... I think Gays and Lesbians are so much better at sharing their beliefs then us christians. Christians tend to hold their beliefs to themselves when we should be sharing our good news.
so let's go share the good news... the gospel... even though we fail... so much... but God helps us to share so let's keep on living our christian life

11.7.2009 - Roman 1: 8-17

This is the introduction to Paul talking to Romans and it's so blessing as he introduce himself to the romans and talks about how much he wants to be there and preach the word of God there. First few verses just talks about Thanking God.
I think this is one of the most underrated thing that Christians do and that is to thank God for every little thing that happen to us. We don't deserve anything and God gives us so much... We need to thank God for everything and specially for being able to serve God and being able to worship him.
another thing was that he has been praying for all the romans. I think one of the thing that current generation of Christian lack is praying for each other. We are all fighting the same battle and we need to really be on the same side. we gotta be here for each other and Paul just gives us such an excellent example of what we should be doing to each other!
lastly... we need to stop being ashamed of God. Sometimes we forget about how awesome and wonderful God is.. and be ashamed of him. that meaning having time to share God we choose not to because of how we are gonna be judged by other people.
As they end these verses "The righteous will live by faith"

11.6.2009 - alabaster jar

I love this song and it really touches me all the time when i sing this. God is worthy of all the praise we give him and im sure we don't give him enough.. there are many things we value in this world more then God sometimes. i think those are what you call alabaster jar. This came from Bible when a women broke a bottle of alabaster jar with precious oil in it. although in the world these things cost so much, the women made her point of showing her love towards God by breaking what's valuable in this world. I think there are things I value highly in this world. and it would be hard to give it up for God
but really we should beable to give up really easily, because God gave up his life so that we should live our life for him

11.5.2009 - Romans 1:1-7

this is starting of romans. I decided to start reading romans. This is a book written by Paul, and i really love the first few verses. Paul talks about a lot of things about being called to serve and how God calls us his. This is very just awesome just Paul talking about serving God. I think one of the biggest gift from God is to beable to serve him.

v.6 says "and you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ"
which just shows you how much important God is to us. We belong to him and we need to do our all to serve him.

I'm very excited to read romans....

11.4.2009 - Ephesians 1:9-10

“And he made known to us the mystery of his will
according to his good pleasure, which he purposed
in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will
have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things
in heaven and on earth together under one head,
even Christ.”- Ephesians 1:9-10

God's will is so hard to read. sometimes people wonder what they want to do in their life and some people has told me that they wish God can just come to them and say "DO THIS!" and that just makes you want to do something. I think God gives us freewill in that point of view of what we will do, but his will is so mysterious because we don't know what it is. I think sometimes God really just show us the way, but sometimes his wills is hard to read... I think I'm gonna just try pray and talk to God!

11.3.2009 - 2 Corinthians 3:6

“He has made us competent as ministers
of a new covenant—not of the letter but
of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but
the Spirit gives life.”- 2 Corinthians 3:6

the holy spirit is mentioned in the bible many times, and it's amazing how spirit goes around to all our souls.
God is amazing that he made us a tool.. he made us something that he can use to bless this nation. that's just amazing hearing it. he made us competent as minister of a new covenant. and i think he made us as leaders to lead churches the right way. i think it's important to always look after each other and God will lead us...

11.2.2009 - Romans 13:1

“[Submission to the Authorities] Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”- Romans 13:1

we need to follow the law as much as law of the God. sometimes we ignore and try to rebel against the government, but unless God tells you to do so, we should be living according to the law and be a good citizen. Christians are suppose to be a good citizen of earth... its hard being christian because we need to live according to law of earth and law of the heavens. I think law of the heavens sometimes clashes law of the earth, that's when we need to follow God's law.

we must submit and live for christ...

10.31.2009 Halloween (Ephesians 5:7-12)

Don't participate in the things these people do.
For though your hearts were once full of darkness,
now you are full of light from the Lord, and your
behavior should show it! For this light within you
produces only what is good and right and true.
Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord.
Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and
darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them. It is
shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly
people do in secret. (NLT)

Halloween is said to be an evil holiday, and us as Christians are frowned upon taking parts in it. I found out today... well not even today that it is probably true. Specially in college, Halloween is the time when girls can wear not so well covered up clothes and get away with it. It seems like people just go around getting drunk. so i found 2 ways why halloween is evil.

1. it is a holiday where we dress up as ghost and junk, that we shouldn't believe in, but if you do believe in that... it's time for you to believe in God and forget about these things...
2. is for everyone who say "This is for fun!" i don't believe in those things... "Everyone else is doing it..."

We are Christians and we are suppose to swim against the current and make people understand how awesome God is. If we do what everyone else is doing all the time... we are no good as an unbeliever...

10.29.2009 - Ephesians 2:8-9

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”- Ephesians 2:8-9

Christianity is special in some ways, and one of the biggest thing is that we are saved by grace... and through faith we are saved... not by works. works i believe is an important part of Christian life, but we're not saved because of the works we do... we do what we do because we want to serve our God. there are so many songs that say we are not good enough our all is not good enough but he loves us because of his grace, because he's love is greater than all.
Sometimes we question ourselves, why serve the church and why do things for God? its because if you love him and if you have faith in him, you should want to serve even in our most purest nature to be lazy and not want to do anything... it's so important to serve God and want to do it. we should never boast in ourselves, but we should boast in God...

10.28.2009 - you were there...

you were there...

I love Avalon and their songs... this song you were there touches me. It tells us that God is aways with us. The hardest time and when you feel like no one is there for you, but God is there in your heart. Sometimes when we feel like we are lost we sometimes go try to find things to fill our void in our hearts when we forget that... God is here for us. whenever and where ever we need him he is there.

You were the Victor and the King
You were the power in David's swing
You were the calm in Abraham
You are the God who understands
You are the strength when we have none
You are the living, Holy one
You were, You are and You will always be
the Risen Lamb of God

God is amazing... and he is always here for us...

10.27.2009 - 1 Peter 1:24-25

“For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like
the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers
fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this
is the word that was preached to you.”- 1 Peter 1:24-25

Sometimes when we worship we make ourselves look stronger than the word of God. Sometimes we forget about word of God all together. We worship God because He is stronger than us, because he is awesome and that he is so great that we are nothing compared to him. We shouldn't even be compared to him, but somehow we sometimes challenge God. We challenge him being that people are better because of me, when it's suppose to be him. We are so small and can't do anything. God changes people, not people change people. there is a huge misunderstand that God's power through us is our own power and you can't be more wrong for that.
God is strong and i will serve him and i will glorify him...

10.26.2009 - Hebrews 4:12

“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”- Hebrews 4:12

Word of God or Bible is very important to us. It is what we read and what we use to defend ourself. Word of God is the only proof and we need to believe and keep reading it to make us stronger in Christ. I know there are many times when we get to be weak because we don't read the word of God, but it is something so incredible.
Bible itself has just amazing stories and just like this passage is saying it's living. It touches us and it makes us know where we are. It keeps challenging us to do better in Christ and to live with him. It's hard living this christian life, but with God by your side... it's easier.... to have that wall you can lean on when your tired... God is amazing...

10.20.2009 - Psalm 51:12

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and
grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”- Psalm 51:12

There's so many times, i just feel empty. useless and so. I don't know what to do or what to say. life is hard and i try to huddle through it. although i fail so many times. i need to get up and keep on doing what i do best. God is here and God is here for me and all of you. So remember... Christ died for you... and everyone... and let's love God and let's love others...

10.11.2009 - personal expierience

Today i was biking and i realized... man... i'm saving this world! I looked at a prius and laughed! hahahahahaha

Christian world is not so different... people do things and to many people it seems like it's just small actions, but it's not. I like it when I'm biking I feel like at least I'm doing this. it just shows a little start for something small that can be big.
In christian view sometimes it feels like what we're doing is foolish or small, but i know God makes all these little thing stack up to be an awesome revolution. so let's keep living life and riding the bike around... metaphorically.

10.10.2009 - Proverbs 19:20-21

“Listen to advice and accept instruction,
and in the end you will be wise. Many are
the plans in a man's heart, but it is the
LORD's purpose that prevails.”- Proverbs 19:20-21

we make a lot of plans, but just like what the passage said "it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." God tells us many things through different ways, and so does satan on the other team. we're never sure where to go and there is going to be many many plans made by us, but nothing sometimes comes true. you plan to do this but it never happen, and plan is such a light words now. everytime you plan something. sometimes something happens and nothing happens at the end. listen to God and accept instruction, we will prevail if God is with us...

10.6.2009 - Isaiah 26:4

“Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD, is the
Rock eternal.”- Isaiah 26:4

There are times when i can't trust anything. trust is one of the most important thing in the world in a relationship. if you don't trust someone there is so much that can go wrong. it seems like there are many times when we fail to see whats really important.
Trust in God is harder then that... if you can't trust people you see... how can you trust something that you can't see. if you trust in God it should be really easy to trust people who are around you.
Trust is a huge issue that people go against. if someone does something wrong they don't trust you and that by itself can break a relationship...
let's trust in God and love God

10.2.2009 - Proverbs 29:25

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept
safe.”- Proverbs 29:25

Fear is one of the biggest issue we face as we live this life. i know there are many fears such as fear of failures and no one really knows whos going to succeed or fail. there's one person in this world who knows that and that's Jesus. We need to trust Christ and believe in him with all we got because he is a wonderful God for us. he will guide us the right way.

lets love the lord and let's trust in him with all our hearts.

9.23.2009 - God Will Make a Way

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength
For each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness
You lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and earth will fade
But His Word will still remain
He will do something new today

I Love this song... because there are so many times when i feel like nothing can be done and nothing is going my way, but if it's in God's will. God will make a way for us. he will lead us through suffering and anything. God is our God and he will show us where to go and where to be. He is the most awesome God.

These are the song when i listen to it... im sure Godw ill show where we need to be where we need to go.

9.22.2009 - Romans 5:3-4

“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
perseverance, character; and character, hope.” - Romans 5:3-4

Some times we tend to complain to God always about suffering. Why God why? life is so hard... why? We don't see the big picture God is drawing us and we tend to jump into conclusion of God just hates us.

In long run hardship gives us so much. It's not a great feeling for us in the first run but sometimes we just need to go through these experiences to learn from it. If we do something stupid and God makes us suffer and things that means to not do it again so that we won't do it again, but as human we are, we will keep doing it over and over again, but God loves us... Suffering produces perserance...

Perseverance, Character, and hope. those are very important things we need to learn and we need to have in life.

9.20.2009 - 1 Chronicles 20:1-8

1In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, Joab led out the armed forces. He laid waste the land of the Ammonites and went to Rabbah and besieged it, but David remained in Jerusalem. Joab attacked Rabbah and left it in ruins.
2David took the crown from the head of their king--its weight was found to be a talent of gold, and it was set with precious stones--and it was placed on David's head. He took a great quantity of plunder from the city
3and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes. David did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then David and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.
4In the course of time, war broke out with the Philistines, at Gezer. At that time Sibbecai the Hushathite killed Sippai, one of the descendants of the Rephaites, and the Philistines were subjugated.
5In another battle with the Philistines, Elhanan son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod.
6In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot--twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha.
7When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David's brother, killed him.
8These were descendants of Rapha in Gath, and they fell at the hands of David and his men.

I love reading about King David.
These verses talk about battles that King David went through and how he gave all his glory to God and good things happened. His men had to fight someone who had 6 fingers and 6 toes. that's crazy... but because David believes in God and lives for him he prevails like usual.

So what's so big deal about these big battles? no one really goes around killing people or run around with big spears... well everyday of our lives are spiritual battle. we gain and lose as we go... so we gotta keep on fighting the battle and even though there are many things that set us back and there are many times and opportunity to regain the land.

With God by our side we can never surrender because God is amazing and he will prevail, so let's put our trust in him and fight the battle.

9.19.2009 - 2 Corinthians 5:7 (picture)

7We live by faith, not by sight. - 2 Corinthians 5:7

This is a concept that is very important for us Christians. i once saw my friend's church make a romance movie with God in it and how this generation is so based on love that is about seeing each other and touching each other. we all have a first person thing and if we feel like no one is doing anything about us. we will easily forget about God.

let's not forget about God and let's live on by faith not by sight... or touch

9.17.2009 - Philippians 2:3-4

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or
vain conceit, but in humility consider
others better than yourselves. Each of
you should look not only to your own
interests, but also to the interests of others.” - Philippians 2:3-4

I think there are many times when i feel like i don't consider other people's feelings but care about my own interest more than others. Even God tells us that we should consider others better than ourselves. and there are just so much challeneges that i go through as a praise leader or just as a person in life. just a fellow christian that are running the same race as any other christians out there. sometimes i do better, sometimes i do worse. and in these time of hard ship or just tests i just think i just gotta believe in God and be stronger.

I need to learn to think about others before me. I need to be more patient and learn to say things at the right time. I feel like i'm just a failure being complete not understanding person. as i grow in Christ. I need to learn to understand other people's interest and live my life not for myself but for others. and i will learn to live life for Christ.

9.10.2009 - Psalm 121:1-2

“[A song of ascents.] I lift up my eyes
to the hills— where does my help come
from? My help comes from the LORD, the
Maker of heaven and earth.”- Psalm 121:1-2

This blog for me is weird... because i tend to do my own quiet time this space is for me to share to others about God... but today it's gonna be different...

Today this blog is about me... about how sinful i have been lately... it is said to rely on God and God only. Life is so confusing. sometimes we need to believe in ourself. sometimes we need to believe in others (team mates). i was watching a japanese drama today and i saw a scene where a guy hits a triple in baseball and he could only wait for his friend to hit the single to get him home... (although his friend struck out) just shows how much in life there are times to rely on others.

I feel like i have been living my life... and that's not good. I have been just living my life. There are so many times when it's so easy to forget about God. its painful to see that it's so easy to do so, but it's true.

I want to take this time to say sorry to God... i want God to be center of my life once again... i need God in my life. My only power comes from Jesus and As i live my life i need to have God with me...

9.7.2009 - Psalm 143:10

“Teach me to do your will, for you
are my God; may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.”- Psalm 143:10

This verse shows the prayer we should be giving to God. Teach us to do your will God. Teach us to do your will... that is just so important. so many years of our lives we live for ourselves and we don't care about God. We don't live for him. But it's so important for us to live for Christ. We need to live based on God's will. God is what we live towards and for..

Lets be less selfish and pray to God and ask him to lead us... to do your wills...

9.6.2009 - John 14:23

“Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me,
he will obey my teaching. My Father
will love him, and we will come to him
and make our home with him.”- John 14:23

This verse talks about God and Jesus making home with us... i think that is just something that we need to hear. soemthing that is just so hard but so easy to say is to love God. there is just so much more to loving someone then just to say that you love someone. just like when you love someone in this life. you can't just love someone... when you love someone you tend to buy someone gifts or anything. i think for eros if we're willing to do so much for someone i think if you really love God in a way God loves us. we should be doing so much more for God.

sometimes i feel like we're just so incomplete without God. we are nothing without God and we need to love him and if we obey Jesus's Teaching.. only good will come to us because God will be with us.

9.5.2009 - you said...

you said... by shane & shane

this song has been always been close to my heart. you said ask and you will receive whatever you need... just the whole song just makes me want to try more and more to be a better christian. it just makes me realize how powerful prayer is and that we should be praying... constantly... we should be seeking God constantly... God is the one that makes us strong God is someone who would give us strength... God promised us so much glory and i think if we're willing to do the work... God will provide...

God is strong... and he will prevail... and in him we will be strong...

9.3.2009 - Isaiah 48:17

“This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"I am the LORD your God, who teaches
you what is best for you, who directs
you in the way you should go.”- Isaiah 48:17

God the ultimate teacher

sometimes we complain about our leaders or our pastor or pastor figures because you don't agree with what they teach. Sometimes we forget that it's not important for the fact that the pastor figure is there.. something that is more important is that God is our teacher and pastor figures are just there to deliver the message to us. sometimes it gets delivered better then other times but it's important to see that God is the great teacher. the ultimate teacher. Lord is powerful and he will lead us the right way.

"I am the lord your God, who teachers you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go" that's just a powerful words showing that God is the only way.

8.31.2009 - Proverbs 22:6

“Train a child in the way
he should go, and when he
is old he will not turn from
it.”- Proverbs 22:6

As Year starts we realize there are many freshmen who are going to do their own things. if we put it in a way... freshmen or any young Christians are a child. And older Christians who are more wise and knows more about God need to guide them the right way. Train a child in the way he should go... when your a younger Christians there are more choices that you have. More worldly things seems very fun and enjoyable.

If you learn early on that God is awesome and great you will know that forever. Sometimes when people think in a way that we can abuse God's awesome forgiveness. That's when things go wrong. As older we get we get more witty we get more smart we get more knowledgeable about bending God's rule... so if you start up not bending any rules... there are less chance you will not bend rules...

So let's love God and guide younger generation the right direction! by showing them the right way.

8.30.2009 - Psalm 91:14

Because he loves me, says the LORD,
"I will rescue him; I will protect him, for
he acknowledges my name." - Psalm 91:14

loving God is great because if we love him he will protect us. There are so many times when miraculous things happen when we need him. I heard of a story where this missionary was completely broke and he needed 17.50 to get a bus ride to the place he needed to be. he prayed and opened his eye. this man walked up to him and handed him a envelope. and in that envelope there was 17.50 complete change.

There are many things God do and he will protect us forever if we love him and do things in his wills.

8.29.2009 - Ephesians 2:19

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners
and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people
and members of God's household,”- Ephesians 2:19

Because We are God's people we are all fellow citizen. there are sometimes when we don't know who is ally and who is not. sometimes we attack fellow Christians and fellow believers. It's important to be there for each other and because of Christ we are no longer just random people living this life but we are all members of God's household. We need to go out there and do the work of God. We need to stop arguing each other.

I know i struggle with this problem. Sometimes its easier to blame others then to blame ourself. we need to look at this in a bigger picture and be a better family... We are family... and through our hard times let's grow stronger to each other...

Thursday, August 27, 2009

8.27.2009 - John 6:29

“Jesus answered, "The work of God is this:
to believe in the one he has sent.”- John 6:29

Work of God is this... to believe in the one he has sent. it's wierd how
simple work of God is. of course there is more... there is so much more
then just knowing about God but it's the step one that everyone needs
to take.

in a step there is always step one and the most important thing is to
learn to do... you have to take the first step to walk or run. you need
to learn to do simple things to lead up to a more complex more blessing
things.

In Christian life there is first most important step and that is to know
and believe God... let's believe in God and everything else will come
to us...

8.26.2009 - Matthew 23:27

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. - Matthew 23:27

There are many times when we act in front of people like we are perfect people. Christians are criticized that we act like we are better then other people. So what is the difference between acting beautiful outside?

we should know that God knows us for the true self and we should act like how we are. there is no need to put a front just because you are a leader or such things. i believe that it's unnecessary to be who we are not just to look good for other people and for God if we love God then we will learn to do things the right way for good.

8.25.2009 - Romans 12:4-5

“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”- Romans 12:4-5

This verse is very important in church. and even in
a bigger pictures. there are so many times one church
disagree with other or sometimes they fight because
they don't agree with each other. freewill or predestination
or things in that nature. something that is wrong is that
we are all in same side. we all form one big body of christ
that we should love God and serve God

so many times we try to be some form of body and we
are not sucessful about it. everyone wants to play guitar
everyone wants to do this... we need to find our calling and
serve God upon it. we all are one body and we all shouldn't
harm each other

there are no times when the arm suddenly stab the heart
killing the body or the arm stabbing it's own body's legs.
by attacking each other in church that's what we're doing.
we need to stop hurting each other and be strong

Aug 24, 09 - Psalm 119:165

“Great peace have they who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.”
- Psalm 119:165

We tend to not take God seriously many times. It hurts to see that we are like this and we need to grow. Non Christians take God not seriously because they don't know God, but we do. We know God very well and we still tend to not fear God.

Great peace have they who love your law... we need to know about God.. and we need to love His law. not because we have to but because we love Him.

Nothing can make them stumble... it's just great hearing things like that. If we love him then he will be here for us... so let's love...

Apr 22 - Romans 14:11

“It is written: " 'As surely as I live,'
says the Lord, 'every knee will bow
before me; every tongue will confess
to God.”- Romans 14:11

one of the most important word in this verse is surely... surely as I live, because God will live and always live in this world because he created this world.

God is powerful and at some point every knee will bow for the lord and every tongue will confess that He is the Lord. so why hesitate now? believe in him and don't doubt him. he is God an he will prevail!.. Let's trust in the Lord

Apr 21 - Matthew 26:6-8

" 6While Jesus was in Bethany in the
home of a man known as Simon the Leper,
7
a woman came to him with an alabaster
jar of very expensive perfume, which she
poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.

8When the disciples saw this, they were
indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked."

As the song Alabaster jar said, we break this at your feet... The focus of the passage is not about the alabaster jar but the very expensive perfume. it's like breaking a ps3 (well not over Jesus's head) but for God's cause.

I don't know about other people but sometimes when I go to church and don't have money for offering and when people are giving money for good cause... there is always thoughts in my head. when i go out and buy a laptop or bike or paintball gun or guitar or amp or bass in that fact... i don't have any guilt... only guilt i have is... do i have enough money for that? but the moment money is dropped into offering basket or any charity... there is a thought on my head... what am i getting from this?

People are very focused on getting something back with their money. if you pay 500 dollars... i better be getting something worth 500 dollars. that's how we are made. we give and we need to get something back right away... well when the woman poured VERY expensive purfume on to Jesus's head... she didn't get what she paid to buy that purfume for... it's like if there was axe body spray that cost 5,000 dollars. right after you spray it on your body... girls better be chasing you like the comercials... when you pay for something you expect something back... for her to forfit what she had... for Jesus... that's... selfless attitude God wants us to have...

Apostles sometimes comes out in the bible as foolish people... saying "what a waste..." but if you really think about it... we all have that part in us... even when your dropping that dollar into the offering basket... some part of you is going to be like... dude... you can be doing so much with that dollar.... but when you buy something you get that rejoice quick.... but also... buying things for yourself... your rejoice last short time... because things in this world decrease in wealth fast... if you buy a laptop... an awesome one! like i did my freshman year for 1500 dollars... it already cost 400-500 dollars only... things in this world will lose values... but gifts in heaven last forever....

Apr 18 - Ephesians 5:15-20

15Be very careful, then, how you live—
not as unwise but as wise, 16making the
most of every opportunity, because the
days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish,
but understand what the Lord's will is. 18
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery.
Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19Speak to
one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual
songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the
Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for
everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have to be careful on how we live. we need to manage our time so that we can get most of every opportunity. it's evil for us to slack off and things like that. i realized that i have been lazy and not faithful to my words by not doing my blog for a long time. i realized now hat we need to live wise lives and we have to be not foolish. so many times we feel selfish about our action and we are selfish of our action.

we have to stop making God fit into our schedule but to let God be in our schedule. we sometimes don't think of what we do for God but what we do for ourselves.

also we always need to give thanks... give thanks in our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Mar 15 - Colossians 3:12

“Therefore, as God's chosen people,
holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves
with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience." - Colossians 3:12

we need to know this... WE ARE GOD's CHOSEN PEOPLE!
we need to figure this out and realize this so that
we can love each other and be there for each other.

kindness? humility? gentleness? patience?
is that what we show the world?

sometimes i can't find that quality in people around me
or even me....
it's wierd... let's wake up and smell the truth...

let's do what it says in the book... THE BIBLE

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Mar 11 - 2 Peter 1:4

“Through these he has given us
his very great and precious promises,
so that through them you may
participate in the divine nature and
escape the corruption in the world
caused by evil desires.”- 2 Peter 1:4

Bible is about God giving us so much that we need to give back...

some people say why? why are we doing thing? why are we living this christian life. if we don't do works then do we not get saved? if i believe in God and have faith in him but not do works shouldn't i still be faith because people get saved in faith alone?

What i believe is.. if you are saying that you don't need to do works to be saved... do you really have faith? do you really love God and trust in him with all your heart?

we should do things for God because we love him... not because we have to... love is the key... God does things for us and forgives us because he wants to and because he loves us... so let's be the same... God don't have to save us... so we don't have to do works for God... but if we love him... we need to give back to God and show him that there is more than just discipline in Christianity...

Mar 10 - Deuteronomy 7:9

“Know therefore that the LORD
your God is God; he is the faithful
God, keeping his covenant of love
to a thousand generations of those
who love him and keep his commands.”
- Deuteronomy 7:9

God never fails...
"You never fail..." - everlasting love
one thing i know is i fail all the time
but God never does... so why believe
in myself... when i can believe in God...

that is all i want to say for today...

Mar 9 - 1 Peter 3:15

Arrogant Christian...

sometimes Christians tend to look down on non christians. It's how we are born to be. If you know your saved sometimes you will be ignorant, but we all got to know that we are all not perfect and Christians do sin as much sometimes more then non believers. there is a BIG difference between non believers and believers and it's our faith and when we are challenged sometimes what we say can be offensive to the other party and we just sometimes simply don't care, because they are stupid for not believing in God!

wrong...

“But in your hearts set apart Christ
as Lord. Always be prepared to give
an answer to everyone who asks you
to give the reason for the hope that
you have. But do this with gentleness
and respect,”- 1 Peter 3:15

our heart is set on Christ... we know what's right and what's wrong and why we don't do this or why we don't do that. We don't do things because God is all mighty and he can save us all, and we don't sin because of the bible. because of what God said... some people don't do things because of something inside them or w/e, but! we shouldn't be offensive and mean about those comments. those people who your sharing your life with are God's creation also and you can't just say mean things to them because they don't believe in God. sometimes when you act more holy... God will change their hearts... maybe it's meant to be.... maybe it's meant to be that, because you were nice and because you did one Act of Random Kindess (from evan all mighty... that's why you build an ark!) you might change someone's heart and maybe God plan was for you to change that person's heart... so let's love and do one act of random kindness

Mar 8 - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

“[The God of All Comfort] Praise be to the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of compassion and the God of all comfort, who
comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can
comfort those in any trouble with the comfort
we ourselves have received from God.”- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

some people won't agree with this passage. there are many times we go through hardship and we feel like God doesn't care.

"GOD DOESNT CARE ABOUT US!"

that's what satan (the other side) makes us feel like, but as the passage said... God comforts us... no matter what because he loves us. he makes us go through hardship because he wants us to grow. Today Dave Adams talked about going through hardship to grow in Christ. i don't know how much that is true. we need to go through hard ship to grow but God will only do us things that we can handle. this i promise you.

God loves us and when something bad happens... you know that God wants you to grow and become stronger. one of the saying that i live by is "if it doesn't kill you then it'll make you stronger..." God will never kill you... because he loves us... he only wants us to become stronger... let's take more responsibility and do our job of being a Christian! let's love God

Mar 7 - John 15:18-19

Is Christianity religion or chore for you?

this is first blog i'm going to do that's going to be a rant/a challenge to myself and maybe others. sometimes believe that people and even me see Christianity as a chore. we've all lived life as sinner before and it's so easy. even if you were born into lovely Christianity family that is very protective and conservative... after awhile when you see the outside world... you will see how easy it is... to live in the world if you go with the flow.

if you had a choice to swear... steal... lie... without feeling the... "i shouldn't be doing this because of the bible"... people sleep around without feeling any guilt... actually some people is proud of what they do. so what is christianity to you? do you do it because you want to make difference... you want to be the salt and light of the world for God. because also if you want to make difference... but you want to make difference for your own glory... that's also bad way to look at it... I think in all... basic idea of Christianity is an amazing idea and religion. everytime i talk about what i know about Christianity... love other... love is what matters... it's amazing what God does for us.

i believe Christianity is awesome... if we keep checking up on ourself... i'd like to put this

18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it
hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world,
it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not
belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of
the world. That is why the world hates you.
- john 15:18-19

world will hate us and this life we lead... is going to be hard... always... but it's our job to keep our head high and lead on God... and think of Christianity as not religion or chore, but family... so that we can lean on each other.... and help one another... sometimes when i see Christians putting each other down... that's not right... i mean it's good to point out people's flaw for their growth... but there are times when people say things... when they really don't need to...

let's love...

Mar 6 - Isaiah 25:1

“[Praise to the LORD] O LORD, you are
my God; I will exalt you and praise your
name, for in perfect faithfulness you have
done marvelous things, things planned
long ago.”- Isaiah 25:1

God is amazing... and indescribable... God did so much things for us and we haven't done as much as we should to God. let's give back to God. God is... well... God! we need to exalt him and praise his name because he is God and he is worthy of all praise. our life is planned way before we were born and God plan to save us way before it actually happen. Jesus saved us... when he died he knew about us.

Mar 3 - Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong
and courageous. Do not be terrified; do
not be discouraged, for the LORD your
God will be with you wherever you go.”
- Joshua 1:9

Sometimes we don't have trust in God. sometimes we think we can't do something because it's scary, because it's tough... because it's just hard... but something that we should be getting out of this is that. God is with us... what should we be scared of? We need to be strong in everything we do in His name, because he is strong. and because he is strong we are strong. God is the greatest weapon we have and God is just amazing.

i believe everything that happen is God's doing and if God wants you to do something... no matter what it will happen so let's keep our chin up and face everything... because God is with us!

listening to... with me - chris tomlin... doesn't this song speak to you?
because he is with us.... we are strong and we'll never fail...
i will not be afraid i will never be ashmed because YOU are with me

Mar 2 - Acts 8:3

3But Saul began to destroy the church.
Going from house to house, he dragged
off men and women and put them in prison.
- Acts 8:3

This Saul we're talking about is Paul. The disiple of christ. it's amazing how Jesus can take such person as Saul and make him into Paul. sometimes we judge. we judge how this person is going to be a good leader or this person is not going to be a good leader. but that's not right. God had plan for saul that no one in that world knew. what happen if one day hitler turned out to be an amazing christian that saves everyone... no one is going to guess that. God works in people. and God works in mysterious ways. just because someone believe that this person doesn't deserve to serve or lead... everyone deserves a chance and we should live by that... everyone deserves a chance...

Mar 1 - Psalm 73:25-26

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And
earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God
is the strength of my heart and my portion
forever.”- Psalm 73:25-26

God is all we have... as christians we need to live our life for God. we need to desire him. i think the verse that grabs me is my heart and flesh might fail. our death is something that is going to happen. i'm not saying it should happen, but we are weak human being. God will always be here for us and he never dies and he can give us that eternal life or eternal life. he is mighty and strong. God is hard to describe sometimes. it's just... wow...

there's a song called indescribable and there is a good reason... it's hard to describe God's love... God's grace... He is another demension from us... God is amazing...

Feb 28 - 2 Timothy 1:7

“For God did not give us a spirit of
timidity, but a spirit of power, of
love and of self-discipline.”- 2 Timothy 1:7

God gave us so much we can use to get to know people. sometimes when we play basketball or when musicians jam there are times of fellowship that you can use to connect with people. some people don't take advantage of that. I sometimes don't even take advantage of that. there are many things in life that we should use for our benefits but sometimes we don't. sometimes we see it clearly that God has given us a gift to use, but we don't use it.

let's be thankful for the gift we have received from God and go out there and share it with others.

Feb 25 - 1 John 4:9

“This is how God showed his love
among us: He sent his one and only
Son into the world that we might
live through him.”- 1 John 4:9

God showed his love among us by sending his only Son, Jesus into the world and Jesus died because of us, because we sinned Jesus died. Jesus was probably the only 100% human that lived in this world and didn't sin. everyday i sin i remember how easy it is to sin. Sinning always happens to me and i always believe how crazy it is that someone lived... without sinning...

Jesus is the man... and he came down to earth for us, and God gave his only son for us...
what an awesome love and amazing grace...

Feb 24 - Matthew 22:37-39

“Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your
God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: 'Love your
neighbor as yourself.”- Matthew 22:37-39

first love God then love neighbor...
be selfless like God is the simple
way to put it.

God is very important in our life and sometimes i forget it. sometimes i forget that God is more important then ourself. we should be selfless like Jesus was when he came down, but sometimes i find myself very selfish and caring only for myself. Life is simple and we should serve others.

Feb 23 - 1 John 4:19

We love because he first loved us.
- 1 John 4:19

plain and simple... Love that we have between God and us is true because of God. God is very important in our life and it's just very important to see that God is all mighty and it's not about us.

not to us but to your name... that's what's important. we win at the end not because we were such a good person but because God is amazing. and his grace covers us all. life would be so meaningless without God and it's all about him...

so let's love God

Feb 22 - Proverbs 14:22

“Do not those who plot evil go astray?
But those who plan what is good find
love and faithfulness.”- Proverbs 14:22

hey let's live life by planning to do good things. let's not even think of plotting against someone. plot against anyone including people who doesn't believe in God. God is important and it's very good. God is good and he's good all the time... let's do good things so that we can make God happy!

good job give me give me that high five!

Feb 20 - Romans 13:9-10

“The commandments, "Do not commit adultery,"
"Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet,"
and whatever other commandment there may be,
are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor
as yourself." Love does no harm to its neighbor.
Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”- Romans 13:9-10

i think we miss the point many time when we read commandments that it's just 10 rules to restrict us, but as it is said in this that all these commandments really just say "love your neighbors as yourself." i'm continuing this talk of love. and this time it's about love we should be giving others. to love God we should love others. also it is said that if you really love God you must keep your friends close and your enemies closer. the love that we should be giving each other should be genuine still... it's hard but it's Christianity... and being a christian is hard.

Feb 18 - Romans 8:38-39

“For I am convinced that neither
death nor life, neither angels nor
demons, neither the present nor
the future, nor any powers, neither
height nor depth, nor anything else
in all creation, will be able to
separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39

it's incredible how the love God gives us is unending... and so incredible yet the love we give back is just so limited. God gives us everything even his only son but sometimes we don't even have it in our hearts to give our time to spend with him for quiet time.

i'm very guilty of this because there are so many times i find myself pushing quiet time back and back and sometimes not even doing it because exam is more important, because game is more fun, and things in that nature. it's natural and impoortant for us to give back to our maker and our savior and let's be a good christian and not forget about God... ever...

Feb 17 - Romans 8:35,37

“Who shall separate us from the
love of Christ? Shall trouble or
hardship or persecution or famine
or nakedness or danger or sword?
No, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him who
loved us.”- Romans 8:35,37

this verse talks about who can separate us from the love of Christ. i talked about God's love a lot recently and this is continuation of it. what makes us stop or what makes God stop? there is nothing. i think it say nakedness because of Adam and Eve, because they sinned they knew they were naked. we realized things that we didn't have to realize... we realized how unworthy we are to God.

Anything that comes in our way. nothing can push us far from God...

Feb 14 - 1 John 4:10

“This is love: not that we loved
God, but that he loved us and
sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice
for our sins.”- 1 John 4:10

valentine day is about love... usually it's about a love between a girl and a boy but i mean sometimes these days reminds you of love that God gives us. it's amazing that us as such an not deserving creatures as us gets love like this from God is just amazing... we are unworthy and how much i say it... it just gets more into my head...

I need to start realizing that the love i get from God is amazing... and that i should do the same to others...

Feb 13 - John 13:34-35

“A new command I give you: Love
one another. As I have loved you,
so you must love one another. By
this all men will know that you are
my disciples, if you love one another.”
- John 13:34-35

if we love each other unconditionally then we will show others
that we're Christians. why would we have to evangelize sometimes
when all we have to show others that we are different... that's
what's more important. we have to love each other and love
everyone in this world, because that will make us stronger
christians. it's about people saying... what's wrong with them...?
why do they like everyone?

but that's the point... we're different... we're christians... we need
to show others that we are different and that we're good... because
God is good... we're not good and amazing because we're just
SOOOO nice... but we're good because God is good.. and God is
good? all the time! all the time? God is good!

Feb 12 - 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

" 1When I came to you, brothers, I did
not come with eloquence or superior
wisdom as I proclaimed to you the
testimony about God. 2For I resolved
to know nothing while I was with you
except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
3
I came to you in weakness and fear,
and with much trembling. 4My message
and my preaching were not with wise
and persuasive words, but with a
demonstration of the Spirit's power,
5
so that your faith might not rest on
men's wisdom, but on God's power."
- 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

our job as Christians aren't looking down at the nonbelievers. Sometimes there are many times when we look down on non believers but we don't know who is saved or who's not... to be the best we need to love as i wrote so much about my past blog... love your enemies love others... never ending love is very important.

we are all human and somethings i say in this blog is very unreasonable... but it's about trying... it's about reaching up for the sky... it say on the bible that people will laugh people will make fun of us... but we know why we're doing this... and to live this way... it's our choice and doing what's right is all about being a good christian.

there are many times i failed to be a good christian... but it never stopped me to try harder to become a better Christians... don't look down on others... but encourage others.... encourage others to do more...
