9.17.2009 - Philippians 2:3-4

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or
vain conceit, but in humility consider
others better than yourselves. Each of
you should look not only to your own
interests, but also to the interests of others.” - Philippians 2:3-4

I think there are many times when i feel like i don't consider other people's feelings but care about my own interest more than others. Even God tells us that we should consider others better than ourselves. and there are just so much challeneges that i go through as a praise leader or just as a person in life. just a fellow christian that are running the same race as any other christians out there. sometimes i do better, sometimes i do worse. and in these time of hard ship or just tests i just think i just gotta believe in God and be stronger.

I need to learn to think about others before me. I need to be more patient and learn to say things at the right time. I feel like i'm just a failure being complete not understanding person. as i grow in Christ. I need to learn to understand other people's interest and live my life not for myself but for others. and i will learn to live life for Christ.

Remember the order of Joy!
J - Jesus
O - Others
Y - Yourself

Anyways, a couple things to kind of just add onto your entry. How do you really intend on doing this? I think a lot of us, myself included, understand the importance of thinking others before yourself, but many a times don't know what that entails or why we should even do it.

Is thinking others before yourself a simple matter of listening to others and helping them out? Or is there more to it? Is there anything specific you intend on doing?

PS Long time no talk. :)
